DAIWA’s GEKKABIJIN AJING series is designed for ajing techniques that use rod work to entice fish and set the hook on bites during the fall or while the lure is paused. Lightweight HVF carbon blanks and compact grips that are easy to hold and allow close contact with the blank provide enhanced handling and sensitivity when working lightweight rigs.

The blanks are made from lightweight, high-modulus HVF carbon, while the solid-tip models feature MEGA TOP carbon solid tips, which enable the use of slim, flexible tips. SiC guides are used for the top guide, with Alconite guides used elsewhere. The guides are one size larger to improve line flow, with a design that also facilitates casting light lures and threading the line in nighttime or windy conditions.

The 55UL-S is a short model for quickly covering harbor areas, suited to a lively presentation of lightweight jighead rigs and metal jigs. The 510UL-S is ideal for delicate fishing with jighead rigs around 1 g, allowing them to drift naturally. The 68L-S is a standard model that handles jighead rigs as well as split-shot rigs and metal jigs. The 78ML-S is designed for long-distance casting with Carolina and float rigs, while the 80ML-T takes advantage of its responsive tubular tip to cover wide areas with heavier float and Carolina rigs, as well as metal jigs.
