Smith Surger

SMITH’s SURGER is a minnow jig with a minnow-like body, designed to attract fish both on the fall and during the retrieve. Its center-balanced design allows it to sink quickly while maintaining a horizontal posture, automatically producing a falling vibration that mimics a small baitfish wobbling as it sinks. During the retrieve, the structure distributes water received at the mouth to both sides around the line eye, generating a rolling action. On a fast retrieve, it glides across the surface while displaying irregular darts.

After casting, let the lure sink to the target depth before retrieving, or use the action generated during the fall to entice fish. In addition to a steady retrieve, varying the retrieve speed makes it possible to draw out different actions as the lure skims near the surface. The 10 cm model measures 10 cm in length, weighs 28 g, and comes standard with Cultiva ST-46 #2 treble hooks. Its minnow-like silhouette is combined with action produced both on the fall and during the retrieve, allowing the presentation to be varied according to how it is worked.
