Evergreen Honesty

EVERGREEN’s Honesty is a sinking minnow designed to trigger bites with minimal action, without putting additional pressure on sea bass. Its 9.5 cm, 9.0 g body features a lip with a small resistance surface. This allows it to smoothly deflect water flow and suppress its swimming action, while also reducing lift to help maintain the desired depth. The belly fin helps minimize wobble during the retrieve by streamlining water flow, while also stabilizing the lure’s flight posture during casting. Together with the tungsten weight-transfer system, it also contributes to achieving longer casting distances.

On a fast retrieve, the Honesty produces an action combining a slight rolling motion with a wobbling action. However, when the retrieve speed is reduced to medium or slower, it transitions into a “Variable Freeze Action,” in which the lure continues moving forward while only its swimming action stops. When fish follow the lure without committing, this feature allows you to continue enticing them while keeping the action subdued. When paused during the retrieve, the lure slowly sinks while maintaining a horizontal posture, creating a triggering pause. With a responsive rod, twitches and jerks produce wide darts, while fitting an E.G. Wide Snap #2 brings out even greater darting width.
