NORTH CRAFT’s AIR OGRE is a sinking pencil lure developed not simply as a downsized option for wary fish, but to be quickly delivered to the desired location and depth for pinpoint targeting. Its distinctive body shape generates a different underwater vibration from that of a conventional minnow, while a steady retrieve produces a slaloming S-shaped action from side to side. It maintains a strong presence in the current while allowing anglers to approach pressured fish from the side.

In addition to a basic steady retrieve, the lure can also be worked with a lift-and-fall technique to create vertical movement from the midwater range down to the bottom. When fish are less responsive to horizontal movement, lifting the lure and allowing it to fall can trigger strikes. In areas with a strong current, it can also be drifted along a targeted course. The 70SLM is a 70mm, 21g sinking model, while the 85SLM is an 8.5cm, 28g sinking model. The differences in size and weight allow anglers to select the appropriate model for the target location and depth. The official lineup includes models in the 7cm, 8.5cm, and 12cm classes.
