Jackson Gallop Assist

Jackson’s Gallop Assist Fall Edition carries on the Gallop lineage, with an emphasis on enticing fish with the falling action of a metal jig. Its sharp edges are combined with a compact, thick-bodied profile to produce an action on the fall that resembles the movement of a weakened baitfish. Designed to attract fish through its movement as it falls, it can be allowed to sink to the desired depth after landing, then worked with lift-and-fall retrieves incorporating pauses, or with a steady retrieve.

Hooks are included as standard. The 20g model measures 59mm overall and features a front F#11 hook and rear R#8 hook, while the 30g model measures 67mm overall and features a front F#12 hook and rear R#6 hook. Body size and hook configuration vary according to weight, allowing you to choose the appropriate model for the target depth, current conditions, and bait size. This metal jig is well suited to building presentations centered around the fall and can be worked from shore by combining steady retrieves with a falling action.
