DAIWA’s FLATJUNKIE is a metal vibration series designed for targeting offshore areas that are difficult to reach with plugs or soft plastics, fast-moving rip currents, and deep water with surf finesse techniques. Among the lineup, the HIRAMETAL Z BLADE is designed to attract fish through the vibration and flash generated by the rotation of the blade mounted on the tail, while the jig body itself produces no action. From the side, it presents the silhouette of a small sardine swimming slowly, while from behind, it shows the rotating silhouette of the blade, achieving an approach with reduced vibration from the jig body.

The blade’s rotational resistance generates lift, making it easy to retrieve the lure slowly just above the bottom—a range that is difficult to maintain with a metal jig. It features an offset blade setting designed to reduce blade tangling and air resistance during casting, while also achieving a stable swimming posture through an ultra-low center of gravity. An offset hook-eye plate is also incorporated to prevent hook tangles and accommodate upward-striking bites. The basic retrieve is a steady, constant-speed retrieve, but it also supports stop-and-go retrieves that create a pause to trigger bites, as well as lift-and-fall presentations. The blade continues to flash during the fall. Available in 32g and 40g, both models measure 87mm in length and are equipped with standard treble hooks: a #8 hook at the front and a #6 hook at the rear. This model is ideal for situations in rough weather or strong currents, when you want to entice fish while maintaining a near-bottom range that would be difficult to hold with a conventional jig.
