Rob Lure’s BeRBie is a crankbait designed to gently entice fish near the surface with its small body. The BeRBie F is a floating model measuring 30 mm in length and weighing 1.4 g. Its swimming range extends from the surface to approximately 25 cm below, targeting trout that are focused on the surface from early spring through early autumn. Despite its compact size, it also features a two-hook configuration.

Its buoyancy allows it to be retrieved near the surface, making it suitable for situations where you want to search a consistent depth without significantly changing the range. Officially, the BeRBie SS is presented as a model that can be retrieved at a desired depth using a countdown and is also capable of an ultra-dead-slow retrieve that takes advantage of the lip’s water grip. The BeRBie SSS is designed to sink more slowly than the SS, allowing for an even more gradual presentation. Among the series, the BeRBie F is positioned as the model for targeting surface-feeding fish while keeping the lure afloat, making it well suited to searching for reactions just below the surface by varying the retrieve speed and incorporating pauses. Use the standard two-hook configuration while taking advantage of its buoyancy and surface-running range.
