Smith Zurubee

Smith’s Zulbee is a plug specialized for dragging along the bottom. Its compact, high-weight design gives it exceptional casting distance, and because it sinks quickly and is reluctant to rise, it is effective for long casts over large ponds—letting it drop straight down and then retrieving it with a fast, “just skimming along” pace. The opposite approach, working it slowly and carefully, is also effective. Lures that dive to the bottom, or show a strong tendency to escape down into the bottom, often trigger a fish’s instinctive response. Whenever fish are conscious of the bottom, regardless of season, it naturally becomes one of the options.
