Smith BTK-Swimmer II

Produced by Hiroyuki Motoyama, this is a specialized plug for stream trout from Smith. Measuring approximately 30mm and weighing 3.2g, it features a sinking design with high-density tungsten weights concentrated at the front, maintaining buoyancy towards the tail. Its unique posture allows it to stand on the bottom, enabling side-to-side swinging with bottom pumping, while creating vibrations during retrieval and a swinging action during twitching. Even in flowing waters, it maintains an upward tail position upon reaching the bottom, mimicking small fish nibbling at bottom bait with a bottom tapping and swinging action. This new genre plug is effective even for trout that have become less responsive to lateral presentations.
