Karteras is a Japanese fishing brand developed under HDC OUTDOOR, with product development focused on fishing in Hokkaido — a region famous for salmon, cherry salmon, and area trout. The brand name is derived from Ainu language words: KAR (to create) and TELLAS (to illuminate), together expressing the spirit of "illuminating Japanese craftsmanship."
