The Sakasanyoro 70 series is getting a new heavyweight model.

The new Sakasanyoro Slim 70XS keeps the distinctive slim, curved body of the series while increasing its size and weight for stronger appeal.

At 69.8 mm and 4.8 g, the 70XS uses five tungsten weights inside the body. Its slender shape creates low air resistance, helping the lure cast smoothly and reach greater distances.

The larger silhouette also gives the lure more presence in the water, making it easier to attract trout from a wider area.

Its 69.8 mm length is another important detail. Because it remains under 70 mm, it can be used in many tournaments with a maximum lure-length rule of 70 mm.

This first production run was assembled before the recent rise in tungsten prices. Due to higher material costs and limited availability, the timing of the next production run is currently undecided.
