ValkeIN is expanding its popular Shine Ride series with a new, larger model: the Shine Ride 55.

The standard Shine Ride measures 45mm, but the new model increases the body length to 55mm in order to create stronger visual presence and greater drawing power.

At first glance, simply making a bottom lure larger may sound straightforward. However, ValkeIN has worked extensively on the body shape and weight balance so that the Shine Ride 55 retains the light, responsive handling that made the original Shine Ride so effective.

According to ValkeIN, the lure responds immediately to rod input despite its 55mm body.

The characteristic Shine Ride action has also been retained. Anglers can still produce the sharp darting movements and wide side-to-side slides that are central to the Shine Ride concept.

Why a 55mm Shine Ride?

One of the most interesting points of the Shine Ride 55 is not simply that it produces more appeal.

The larger body also makes the lure easier for trout to continue tracking.

When fishing close to the bottom, especially in areas with sediment, debris or an uneven bottom surface, a small lure can sometimes become difficult for a following fish to keep track of visually.

The larger silhouette of the Shine Ride 55 helps maintain that visual presence, allowing a trout to continue following the lure until the final moment of the retrieve and potentially convert that chase into a bite.

In other words, the larger size is not only about attracting fish from farther away. It can also help keep an interested fish committed to the lure.

With the Shine Ride 55, ValkeIN has attempted to maintain those same characteristics while adding the appeal of a substantially larger body.
