Water Land’s Yoritoreiru is a maintenance tool designed to eliminate line twist caused by using a spinning reel through casting and retrieving. It is attached to the end of a twisted line in place of a lure, with the aim of correcting twist generated during line winding and drag operation by rotating in the opposite direction.
The body is made of aluminum and features a distinctive spiral shape. After casting, retrieve it at a speed that keeps it from breaking the surface, causing the body to rotate. This rotation twists the line in the opposite direction of the existing twist. To use it, tie the Yoritoreiru to the end of the line, make a light cast, and then retrieve it at a relatively fast speed. Line twist is often eliminated after one or two passes, but the process can be repeated as needed while checking the condition of the line. It is available in 3.8 g, 7.5 g, and 15 g sizes, with the 3.8 g model being easy to handle with light tackle.
