FLASH UNION’s Sea Revo B.F.T Crusher is a casting rod for bluefin tuna, designed for use on everything from fishing-vessel-style charter boats to small pleasure boats. Its length is optimized so that even on shallow-draft boats, the rod tip is less likely to dip into the water during a jerk. Despite its relatively short length, its taper combines torque with a moderate rebound, balancing maneuverability on the boat with casting performance. It is designed to make it easy to send lures out with a snap cast even when space is limited by equipment such as a spanker.

The BFTC-S76H is a lightweight model that is easy to use with lures around 160–180g, which are frequently used when targeting schools of 40–80kg-class fish. It measures 7 feet 6 inches, weighs 380g, has a maximum lure rating of 150g, and is compatible with PE #8–10. The BFTC-76XXH is a monster selection built around a “returning blank” that takes advantage of carbon’s rebound, with special glass sheets and other materials composited into areas subject to high loads to achieve tremendous torque. It measures 7 feet 6 inches, weighs 432g, has a maximum lure rating of 320g, and is compatible with PE #12–15, with fights against fish in the 300kg class also in mind. The guides are larger in diameter than those used on typical rods, accommodating setups in which a leader with a swivel already rigged is prepared in advance.
