POPSEACREW’s BANQ is a lip-equipped sinking pencil designed to combine the controllability of a sinking pencil with the water-gripping performance of a short lip, making it easier to maintain its depth and action even in current or wind. The lip catches the water immediately after splashdown, producing a slow-pitch slalom action on a basic slow retrieve. It responds well to changes in current speed, while the cup-shaped lip helps prevent the lure from being swept away by crosswinds and detects changes in current and resistance. On a fast retrieve, the action changes depending on the model, ranging from a tight wobble-and-roll to a faster-pitch action, allowing for different presentations according to retrieve speed.

The 82S measures 82 mm and weighs 14 g, with a running depth of 10–60 cm. It is easy to use in harbors, rivers, tidal flats, and similar environments, and can be worked primarily with a slow retrieve, incorporating a fast retrieve as needed. The 82S Heavy has the same 82 mm length but weighs 22 g, with a running depth of 50–100 cm. It is easier to cast farther and covers deeper water that is difficult to reach with the 82S. On a steady retrieve, it produces a slightly faster-pitch action, while on a lift-and-fall retrieve, it makes use of its wobble during the fall. The 100S measures 100 mm and weighs 27 g, with a running depth of 20–80 cm. In addition to the series’ signature slow-pitch slalom action, a momentary fast retrieve changes the action to a tight wobble-and-roll. The 120S measures 120 mm and weighs 46 g, with a running depth of 20–100 cm, and features a setup suited to covering a wide area along with larger hooks. The standard hooks are #6 on the 82S and 82S Heavy, #4 on the 100S, and #1 on the 120S. The rings are #3 on the 82S models and 100S, and #4 on the 120S.
