Rise Japan Namidama TG

RISE JAPAN’s Namidama TG is a Tai Rubber head designed for fast sinking in strong currents and deep water, as well as smooth, responsive retrieves, thanks to its compact pure-tungsten construction. Tungsten has a higher specific gravity than lead, allowing the body to be made smaller at the same weight and reducing the surface area exposed to the current. This results in a faster fall and less water resistance during the retrieve. Its high surface hardness also makes it easier to detect the bottom, allowing anglers to quickly redeploy while maintaining a steady rhythm and confirming bottom contact. The compact profile is also suited to situations where minimizing the head’s presence is important in heavily pressured areas.

Weights are available in 45g, 60g, 80g, 100g, 125g, and 150g, allowing you to choose according to current speed, water depth, and the boat’s drift. The Namidama TG is sold as a head only and is used with a Tai Rubber unit purchased separately. The eyes are blue, making the pure-tungsten model easy to distinguish from lead models. The 80g and 100g sizes are easy to adjust for a wide range of conditions, from shallow to moderately deep water. In strong currents, their fast sinking speed helps maintain reliable bottom contact, after which a steady-speed retrieve can be used as the basic presentation.
