Pickup’s Wasp Slalom 80S is a sinking pencil that combines a natural presentation with darting performance designed to create a pause that triggers strikes. Developed for heavily fished areas and wary sea bass, it features an action that is easy to control even with a steady retrieve. Measuring 80 mm, weighing approximately 17 g, and designed to slow-sink in the 30–80 cm range, it is suited to fishing with medium-sized baitfish in mind.
It features a flat-sided body made from foamed resin, with a weight setting designed to help achieve casting distance relative to its silhouette. From slow to fast retrieves, it produces an S-shaped slalom with irregular changes in movement. On a dead-slow retrieve, it transitions to an I-shaped action with a tight rolling motion, while stopping after a twitch creates a pause that triggers strikes following an irregular movement.
