Marujin UK Big Bait

MARUJIN’s UK Big Bait 160F (UK BB160F) is a floating pencil lure that combines the casting distance and controllability of a big bait with the ability to produce a diving pencil action. Measuring 160 mm and weighing over 65 g, its body generates strong water displacement by adding weight for its size, while the low-resistance one-piece construction is designed to achieve long casting distances. It features a wire-through construction for strength suitable for targeting large fish both from shore and offshore.

The lure floats horizontally with its back slightly breaking the surface. During jerking, it is easy to produce a powerful diving pencil action that strongly pushes water. On a steady retrieve, it produces a gentle rolling action, while current changes its action into an S-shaped swimming motion. When allowed to drift slowly, it can also be used to make a subtle, wobbling surface presentation. It comes equipped with two standard #1 hooks. Weight tuning is possible when you want to adjust its buoyancy: adding 1.5 g to both the front and rear changes it to a slow-floating lure, while larger-than-standard hooks can be used when you want it to sink further. As MARUJIN’s first big bait, it is designed to generate a large vibration while keeping its overall size compact.
