Clear Blue Ajicto

ClearBlue Ajicto 35 Shallow is a small, lightweight plug developed for targeting juvenile horse mackerel that become more focused on the surface to mid-water layers after early summer, allowing for a slower presentation in areas with gentle current, such as within harbors. Its compact, slim body measures 35 mm in length and weighs approximately 1.2 g, and is designed to be handled with a feel similar to that of a lightweight jig head.

On a steady retrieve, it produces a subtle, tight rolling action while gently wavering, and sinks with an ultra-tight shimmy fall under tension. In addition to simply casting and retrieving slowly, it also supports a stop-and-go retrieve of approximately five turns followed by a three-second pause. It is easy to operate while maintaining constant line tension, making it well suited for probing a consistent range near the surface. The action varies depending on leader diameter: wide with 0.6-size leader, standard with 0.8-size, tight with 1.0-size, and ultra-tight with 1.2-size. Compared with the Ajicto 43, the Ajicto 35 Shallow is intended for searching the surface to mid-water layers and areas with gentle current, while the Ajicto 43 is expected to be used near the bottom or in areas with faster current.
