Sea Floor Control Messiah

Seafloor Control’s Messiah is a long-style metal jig developed with an emphasis on fast, highly attractive sliding action. It features a fast fall rate and excellent water penetration and cutting performance, and is designed for easy jig control even in complex currents. Its standout characteristic is the ability to make a large slide with a small jerk at the right timing, attracting large pelagic fish in deep water as well as fish at a distance.

The center section of the body features a near-triangular keel shape to enhance straight-line stability. Its structure allows it to shed water easily and maintain its posture in turbulent conditions, responding to firm movement during the jerk and staying in place during pauses. The basic technique is to quickly send the jig down to the target range on a fast fall, then work it with short jerks to create a sliding action. It is easy to build different approaches during the fall, lift, and pause phases, making it suitable for jigging aimed at a wide range of species, from pelagic fish to bottom-dwelling rockfish. The Messiah Short is a derivative model focused on its easy-to-handle short shape, irregular jerks, and spiral fall, while the Messiah Semi-Long is offered as a semi-long, plus-style model intended for inshore use.
