Buddy Works Raipachi

Buddy Works’ Right8 is a metal jig designed to combine flashing during the retrieve with a horizontal fall immediately after stopping, creating a “feeding pause” that triggers bites. During the retrieve, its wide, flat sides strongly reflect light to make the lure highly visible. When the retrieve is stopped, the body maintains a horizontal posture as it flutters downward, producing an action reminiscent of a weakened baitfish and enticing strikes. In addition to a continuous retrieve, it is designed for stop-and-go presentations, allowing anglers to search the water by combining the retrieve and fall.

The hook setup is another distinctive feature. The front uses a short assist-hook configuration, combining thick-wire, long-shank red sea bream hooks to reduce tangling with the rear hook and wrapping around the body, while bringing out the jig’s intended action. A treble hook is fitted as standard at the rear, with the 40 g model equipped with a size #4. The lure is designed for targeting large pelagic species and other fish in saltwater shore games, allowing anglers to alternate between a retrieve presentation that takes advantage of its strong flashing and a horizontal fall that keeps the lure visible.
