STUDIO OCEAN MARK’s OCEAN SNAP and OCEAN TWIN are connection and hook-related accessories designed to combine quick lure changes with reliability during actual fishing. OCEAN SNAP addresses the drawbacks of metal rings and split rings, which require pliers, as well as cross snaps, whose reliability can decline with repeated attachment and removal, combining high strength with quick lure changes. The rings are made of SUS631, and their excellent spring properties provide a structure that closes securely even after repeated attachment and removal. The line-connection section has a perfectly round shape produced by barrel polishing, reducing the load on the knot compared with pressed rings featuring angular cross-sections, while also taking friction and fatigue caused by contact with the lure eye into consideration. Available sizes include OS2S–OS8, OS2SBB–OS8BB, and OS2SGM–OS5GM. With long jigs featuring thin eye wires, however, the snap may come off due to the head-shaking movements of amberjack and other pelagic fish, so compatibility should be confirmed before use.

OCEAN TWIN is designed to bring out the advantages of both treble hooks and single hooks through an assist rig that pairs two hooks together. The BG86/BG81 models use thick-wire hooks, while the BG81 features a cut-barb design with the barb modified. The BBS88 uses lightweight, thin-wire hooks and is tuned for situations in which fish have difficulty inhaling the lure. The lure’s diving behavior and action can be adjusted by changing the front and rear hook sizes and assist length, as well as by adding a sinker. During casting, the hooks tend to lie along the lure body, and the design also takes flight posture into consideration.
