OSP’s KAREN180 SW is a model tuned for big-bait sea bass fishing, based on the KAREN180, which combines the vibration of a hard bait with the natural action of a soft bait. It features an ABS resin head and a soft worm-material body at the rear, creating a distinctive construction that combines hard and soft materials. A moving weight ball produces a rattle sound while swimming, and the lure is designed to float in a slightly head-up posture for easy feeding. Its short lip provides moderate resistance during the retrieve, while allowing the lure to dive gradually after splashdown, making it easy to trace an upper-layer range where sea bass can feed comfortably.

The basic technique is a stop-and-go retrieve combining steady retrieves with pauses. After swimming the lure by turning the handle approximately 5 to 10 times, let it rise to the surface and pause for about 5 seconds. During a medium retrieve, the head produces a wobbling and rolling action while the soft body creates a naturally flowing movement. Even during a fast retrieve, the lure resists losing its posture and maintains a stable swimming action. This floating lure measures 180 mm in length, weighs approximately 50 g, and has a maximum diving depth of 1.5 m. It is equipped with KENCLAW #1 hooks on the front and KENCLAW #3 hooks on the rear, with tin plating for enhanced corrosion resistance. After use, it is recommended to remove the dedicated pin and store the head and soft body separately.
