YAMAGA Blanks’ BlueCurrent is a light-game rod series developed to expand the possibilities of ajing with ultra-thin lines, combining delicate handling with a blank that follows the fish smoothly during the fight. The lineup includes models designed for use with jig heads, micro plugs, and various lightweight rigs, with each model offering a distinct handling feel—from precise presentations at close range to drifts that take advantage of current flow.

Among them, the BlueCurrent 73 Plug Seamless TZ/NANO is a plugging model featuring a blank that combines sharpness and suppleness, making it easy to set the hook without bouncing the suction-like bites or shallow pecking strikes of horse mackerel feeding on microbait. It is designed to let the plug drift through light-and-shadow boundaries and current, while the tip follows the lure even during an ultra-dead-slow retrieve, conveying changes in water pressure and current flow. After hook-up, the rod bends smoothly from the tip through the midsection, allowing a natural transition from bite detection to the fight. The 73 Plug Seamless TZ/NANO is suited to plugs weighing 1.5–6 g, jig heads weighing 0.3–5 g, and PE line sizes 0.1–0.4, making it a model centered on micro plugs while also supporting jig-head fishing.
