Ocean Ruler Bottom Upper

Ocean Ruler’s BOTTOM UPPER is a jig head designed to provide easy operation while reducing snagging, a common challenge when targeting the bottom. Its body features a semi-football shape refined to closely resemble a round shape, helping minimize snagging even across uneven bottoms and making it suitable for probing around structure. The shape of the lower body also helps prevent it from rolling after reaching the bottom, while its design makes it easier for the hook point to remain facing upward.

Use it with a soft plastic lure. It can be worked with techniques such as mid-water swimming, lift-and-fall, and dragging along the bottom, depending on the target depth and bottom conditions. From moving the lure along the bottom while maintaining contact after it reaches the bottom to swimming it through a consistent depth, it is easy to operate and well suited for rocky areas and uneven terrain where reducing snags is important. Each weight is paired with a designated hook size, allowing you to choose the appropriate combination based on the size of the soft plastic lure, the fishing depth, and the current.
