Ocean Ruler Kreios

Ocean Ruler’s Kreios series is designed for saltwater bottom-oriented fishing targeting black sea bream, sea bass, flatfish, and small pelagic species. The signature Bottom Fish Ultimate features a silhouette that imitates the mud shrimp preyed upon in tidal flats and estuaries, combining the fluttering movement of feathers with the texture of rubber to approach targets near the seafloor. It is equipped with a Hook UP feature that stabilizes the lure’s bottom position and keeps the hook point facing upward, along with a weedless sinker that helps reduce snagging.

The basic retrieve is a steady drag along the bottom at a consistent rhythm, while bottom bouncing, shaking, pausing, and lift-and-fall retrieves can also be used depending on the conditions. In current or during pauses, the feathers and rubber catch the water and flutter, giving the lure a lifelike presence. When targeting flatfish, a slow bottom-dragging retrieve is the primary approach, while lifting the lure off the bottom with a lift-and-fall retrieve is effective when fish are highly active. Around rocky areas and structure, use a lift-and-fall presentation to entice fish, then lift them away from the bottom before they can bury themselves in cover after the bite. The Bottom Fish Ultimate is available in 5 g, 7 g, and 10 g sizes, allowing you to choose according to current strength, water depth, offshore structure, and the location of drop-offs.
