Apia Juicy

APIA’s Juicy is a resin blade designed to create a natural appeal through the transmission and reflection of light, taking advantage of its clarity and light weight—qualities not found in metal blades. Supervised by pro staff member Shun Sasaki, it attracts fish not only with the flashing produced by its transparent material, but also with the soft vibrations of resin, which differ from those of metal. Its low specific gravity allows it to blend easily with the water, helping prevent the blade from drooping and making it suitable for slow retrieves. UV-treated colors provide added appeal even in low-light conditions, such as at night or in deep water.

It can be attached to jig heads, offset hooks, plugs, and other tackle, and used as a component in a variety of rigs and lures, from soft plastics to hard lures. The basic technique is to retrieve it to rotate the blade; when imitating plankton, it can also be allowed to drift almost stationary with the current or water flow. The lineup includes the Juicy #2, redesigned for light-game fishing, and the larger Juicy #3 1/2. The #2 measures 62 mm in total length, including the attachment hardware, and weighs 0.5 g. The #3 1/2 measures 80 mm and weighs 0.85 g. Choose between them according to the size of the target bait and the lure with which they are paired.
