Major Craft Switchback

Major Craft’s Switchback 125 is a minnow lure designed to deliver the casting distance required for Spanish mackerel casting games, along with a jerking action that readily triggers predatory fish. Its streamlined aerodynamic form helps reduce air resistance and stabilize the lure in flight, while four tungsten moving-weight systems provide balanced weight transfer. It is suitable not only for overhead casts but also for underhand casts, making it easier to achieve stable casting even in conditions such as crosswinds that can disrupt the lure’s flight posture.

During a jerk, the lure flashes its side while rolling, then darts from side to side, producing intense flashing and light-dark contrast. After the jerk, it comes to a precise stop in a head-down posture, making it easy to transition into the next action, while maintaining stable movement during repeated darts and at high speeds. Its light retrieve resistance allows for a fast-paced presentation centered on jerking. This sinking lure measures 125 mm and weighs 20.5 g, with a maximum diving range of 1.5–2 m. The standard hooks are GHT-5TN #6 hooks.
