Major Craft AJI-DO Head Mame-Aji

Major Craft’s Aji-Do Head Mame Aji is a jig head designed to turn the subtle bites of small horse mackerel into solid hooksets. It features a Japanese-made flattened gold hook, with an upturned hook point designed to make it easier for the fish to inhale the soft bait while improving hooking performance. The gold-colored hook offers excellent visibility for ajing, and the head is equipped with a large eye intended for night fishing. This makes it easy to tie on your line and convenient for changing rigs in low-light conditions.

The head features an original shape that supports a wide range of presentations, from darting actions to controlled falls. It allows you to create fundamental ajing retrieves, including snapping the soft bait upward with rod movements and maintaining tension as it falls. The glow-in-the-dark worm keeper helps prevent the soft bait from slipping once rigged while also improving visibility. When rigging, thread the soft bait straight along the keeper and position the hook point correctly to maintain the head’s posture and the bait’s action.
