Major Craft AJI-DO 5G

Major Craft’s Aji-Do 5G is a rod designed for ajing, with a focus on casting distance, control, and sensitivity when using lightweight rigs. Its ultra-lightweight blank makes it easier to feel the operation of jigheads under 1 g, while the balance is optimized for control, helping anglers detect the underwater movement of lightweight rigs and subtle bites.

The blank features the R360 structure, which arranges carbon fibers in straight, fade, draw, and side directions. Rather than reinforcing the blank surface with tape, it is constructed from multidirectional carbon sheets, with the carbon arrangement adjusted for each section to achieve a balance of lightness, crispness, and power. It also uses carbon developed with Toray’s technology for controlling fiber structures at the nanoscale.

The series includes an UL model for delicately targeting small horse mackerel, an L model compatible with jigheads under 1 g, an M model designed for fish ranging from small horse mackerel to specimens around 30 cm, and an H model for long-distance casting with float rigs and Carolina rigs. The lure weight ranges are 0.2–2.5 g for the UL, 0.2–3 g for the L, 0.6–5 g for the M, and 1–15 g for the H. The guides feature Fuji Kogyo SiC-S guides and lightweight titanium-frame AT guides, while the grip uses a Fuji Kogyo IPS reel seat that is compact and easy to hold, with convenient blank contact.
