Major Craft Crostage

Major Craft’s CROSTAGE series was developed to give beginner to intermediate anglers the opportunity to experience a serious seabass rod at an accessible price. To accommodate changing field conditions and fishing techniques, the blanks were re-evaluated from the material level and constructed using Major Craft’s Cross Force technology. The blanks are designed to deliver a sharper, more responsive feel than previous models, while the slim grip shape provides a comfortable, secure hold.

In the sub-10-foot seabass lineup, models range from 8 feet 6 inches to 9 feet 6 inches, with L models for lightweight lures, ML models suited to approximately 10–30 g, and M models designed for 15–42 g lures as well as large metal vibrations and big baits. The L class is suited to accurate casting in harbors and precise lure control around structure, while the ML class is designed for a wide range of fishing with minnows, vibration lures, and metal vibrations. The 9-foot 6-inch ML model emphasizes long-distance casting powered by its rebound, making it suitable for wading and shallow, gently sloping areas. The M class is configured with the power needed to target trophy-class seabass and handle heavier lures with ease. In addition, the solid-tip model, rated for 3–15 g, is designed for delicate worming techniques and for responding to short bites during the “Bachi-nuke” season.
