Valleyhill’s BayDrive SWARP Head is a jig head designed for bottom-winding with a soft plastic worm, producing sharp darting action from side to side while minimizing lift off the bottom. With its center of gravity positioned slightly toward the front, it maintains a reliable fall speed even when rigged with a worm, while also providing a distinctive sensation of the head breaking free during a jerk. It is easy to dart from side to side in response to rod movements, making it suitable for working areas near the bottom.
When paused on the bottom, its design helps it maintain a stable position without easily tipping over, while the worm’s tail is prone to moving naturally when influenced by the current. It is well suited to darting on the fall after a lift or with short jerks while confirming bottom contact, and can be switched from a bottom-winding approach to swimming as conditions require. When rigging the worm, setting it straight in relation to the head helps stabilize the darting direction and bring out its intended action. Designed for use with BayDrive series worms, it can be rigged by selecting the hook size specified for each weight.
