Shout! Deep Water Assist

SHOUT Deep Water Assist hooks are designed for mid- to deep-water jigging, with different assist-line constructions and connection components for front and rear use. Spark Hooks are used. The front version combines blue assist PE line with a polyester core and a press ring, helping reduce tangles with the jig and leader. The rear version combines blue assist PE line without a core with a ball-bearing swivel and split ring, allowing the hook to drift more freely. The ball-bearing swivel on the rear version helps reduce line twist during retrieve and problems caused by hook rotation.

The front version is set on the front of the jig. By using the separately sold Combi BB Swivel and attaching it to the split ring, it can also be used in a setup designed to reduce twist in the main line. The rear version is attached to the rear of the jig via a split ring. The line is rated at 50 lb, with assist-line lengths of 5 cm and 7 cm, and hook sizes 1, 1/0, and 2/0 available. By choosing between the front and rear versions, anglers can select the hook position and length to suit mid- to deep-water jigging for species such as rosy seabass, blue sea perch, splendid alfonsino, and blackthroat seaperch.
