Tailwalk SLOW BUMP SSD

Tailwalk’s SLOW BUMP SSD is a baitcasting jigging rod series featuring two distinct blank designs—tubular and full solid (FSL)—to expand the range of techniques available for slow-pitch jigging. The tubular models offer responsive rebound that readily transfers the angler’s input to the jig, along with heightened sensitivity achieved through reduced weight. They are suited to an active presentation that moves the jig sharply. The 633 is the standard power model in the series, handling jigs up to 350 g and suitable for use at depths of up to 300 m.

The full solid blanks used in the 632/FSL and 633/FSL are constructed with long fibers aligned in a single direction, allowing them to bend deeply and follow the load. They help suppress unnecessary jig bounce and make it easier to create an action that allows the jig to hover in the water. The 632/FSL is designed for inshore use with jigs around 80–150 g, while the 633/FSL is the standard model in the FSL series and handles jigs up to 300 g. The deeply bending blank follows the fish’s runs, supporting the fight while distributing load away from the hook point.

Fuji KT guides are positioned on the tip section, while double-foot LKW guides are used on the butt section, balancing light weight with strength. The FSL models feature a spiral guide setup designed to minimize interference with the blank’s bending. Choose the tubular models for sharp, responsive jig control that takes advantage of their rebound, or the FSL models for a supple response that allows the jig to hover naturally.
