Shimano Suisui Dropper

SHIMANO’s SEPHIA SUISUI DROPPER is a dropper squid jig designed to achieve the slow fall and horizontal posture required for omorig rigging. It slowly sinks while blending into the current, creating more time for squid to see the jig and making it easier to fish in high-pressure conditions. The body is carefully balanced for stability in the current, while the keel sinker, shaped like a surfboard fin, helps support the jig’s posture and allows it to ride the current easily. It maintains a horizontal posture even after blending into the current, producing a natural presentation. It is a slow-sinking type, with the QS-Z15Y specified at size 1.5 and 3.5 g.

The QS-Z15Y can be used as a smaller dropper than the size 1.8 and 2.5 options for omorig rigging, as well as a dropper for metal rigs. Official recommendations include switching to the SUISUI DROPPER for omorig rigging when the current is fast; for metal rigs, choosing the Fuwafuwa Sutte when the current is weak, the SUISUI STICK when the current is moderately strong, and the SUISUI DROPPER when the current is fast. The jig features sharp hooks and is available in standard colors such as Akamidori, Akashiro, Akakiiro, and Zenaka, along with colors featuring Keimura or blue-glow base finishes.
