SHIMANO’s Tougorou Iwashi 129F is a floating minnow developed in collaboration with Kaiyodo, featuring a design inspired by the tougorou iwashi and taking an approach distinct from conventional minnows. Its 129 mm, 23 g body features a slender silhouette reminiscent of the tougorou iwashi.
Its action changes in response to variations in current and retrieve speed, with a design that creates a momentary pause in its swimming motion. In addition to a steady retrieve at a constant speed, it can be used for drifting in areas affected by current or with varied retrieve speeds. During jerking, anglers can entice fish by combining darts to the left and right. As a floating lure, it is easy to match the depth when targeting fish near the surface, and in areas with current, it can be fed along while adding natural changes to its action. Equipped with three #5-class hooks, this minnow is designed to imitate slender baitfish such as tougorou iwashi and is suited to targeting sea bass near the surface.
