SHIMANO’s OCEA ROCKET DIVE 187F JET BOOST is a floating pencil lure designed to make it easier to target slightly deeper ranges by combining stable diving performance with a rolling action that creates an S-shaped path underwater. The 187 mm, 85 g body uses a molded foam material. After diving underwater, it swims with a sharp S-shaped action while leaving a fine trail of bubbles, accommodating a wide range of techniques from diving jerks to long jerks. Another key feature is its ability to maintain its action even when rod movements are somewhat inconsistent.

Inside, it features JET BOOST, which supports the moving weight system with a through shaft and spring. Designed with consideration for initial casting speed, flight posture, and quick action after splashdown, the system combines stability during long-distance casting with a smooth transition into action. The body surface uses SCALE BOOST, a composite-pitch hologram that imitates baitfish scales. When replacing the standard hooks, the manufacturer recommends the lightweight ST-66 #2/0 for targeting amberjack and similar species with fast jerks, and the ST-66 #3/0 when enticing tuna species with a slow retrieve and keeping the lure underwater for longer.
