Shimano Sephia Suisui Dropper

SHIMANO’s SEPHIA SUISUI DROPPER is a dropper squid jig designed to achieve the slow fall and stable horizontal posture required for omorig fishing. It is designed to sink slowly while blending with the current, making it easier to keep the jig in view of squid for longer. In addition to its balance that allows it to ride the current easily, the keel sinker—reminiscent of a surfboard fin—catches the water to stabilize the jig’s posture, naturally enticing squid while maintaining a horizontal position even in flowing currents.

Available in three sizes—1.5, 1.8, and 2.5—each with a slow-sinking action. The 1.8 and 2.5 sizes are easy to use with omorig, while the 1.5 and 1.8 sizes work well as droppers for metal rigs. The 1.8 size is versatile and suitable for both rigs. The compact 1.5 and 1.8 sizes are designed with consideration for their tendency to be affected by the current, while also providing a responsive feel to retrieve resistance and angler presentations. Equipped with sharp hooks designed for reliable hookups, the jig can be used as a dropper for omorig or metal rigs, with the size selected according to the current speed and squid response.
