Shimano Sephia 8+

SHIMANO’s Sephia 8+ is a PE line designed to improve surface smoothness and linearity, while also providing more consistent strength, low stretch, and enhanced abrasion resistance. It is braided from IZANAS®, an ultra-high-strength polyethylene fiber, using “Tough Cross 2,” which combines the Tough Cross and VT construction methods. It also features Heat Sink Coating, a special silicone resin coating with a thermal conductivity approximately one-quarter that of water and excellent heat resistance, helping to improve smoothness across the line surface.

The line features five colors that change every 10 meters, making it easy to estimate the amount of line released by using the color changes as a guide. The lineup includes the 150 m LD-E51T and the 200 m LD-E61T, both available in sizes 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, and 0.8. Maximum strength is 9.3 lb for size 0.4, 12.2 lb for size 0.5, 14.8 lb for size 0.6, and 18.5 lb for size 0.8. Choose the length and size to suit the reel’s line capacity and the balance of the egi and tackle being used.
