SHIMANO’s OCEA STINGER BUTTERFLY EASY PEBBLE is an “attracting” slow jig based on the Pebble Stick, designed to achieve a wider sliding range and easy handling. Its rounded, symmetrical cross-section and slimmer body with flatter faces than the Pebble Stick make it easy to transition into a horizontal position during the jerk, followed by a sliding action.
Designed to perform from slow to high-pitch retrieves, it is easy to impart action even in fast currents and deep water. Its fast fall speed and low resistance allow it to produce long slides after the jerk, taking advantage of extended hang time. During the fall, it attracts fish with a horizontal posture, short rolling action, sliding fall, and a fluttering action as it falls while backsliding. The basic presentation is a jerk and long fall. In fast currents or when drifting down-current, where the jig is easily carried away by the current, its fast fall makes it easier to reach and maintain contact with the bottom. The color patterns feature SCALE BOOST, which produces complex reflections that mimic the scales of baitfish. The range is available from 100g to 900g, with the JV-F90T being the 277mm, 900g model.
