Shimano’s COLTSNIPER IWASHI ROCKET is a metal jig modeled after the Japanese anchovy, designed for long-distance casting at 30 g while remaining easy to handle with a standard seabass rod. The 30 g model was developed with a target average casting distance of over 100 m. Its slim profile and rear-weighted design reduce air resistance and provide a stable flight attitude. It is suited to covering a wide area from breakwaters, rocky shores, and surf beaches.

The lure supports twitching, jerking, and steady retrieves, allowing the retrieve style to be adjusted to the conditions. It features Scale Boost, which recreates the scale pattern of a baitfish, while the complex-pitch hologram produces intricate flashes that mimic the reflections of a small fish. The S (Small) model features natural silver flashes and iridescent reflections from its small-scale pattern, while the ST (Small Transparent) model offers subdued reflections with reduced silver flash. It comes standard with an original assist hook, a single No. 14 hook at the front and a No. 4 treble hook at the rear. Available in 20 g, 30 g, and 40 g sizes, with overall lengths of 68 mm, 79 mm, and 87 mm respectively, allowing anglers to choose according to the weight and profile required.
