Tenryu SWAT

TENRYU’s SWAT is a series of seabass rods, with each model designed with its own distinct character to handle changing seabass conditions and increasingly diverse tactics. Drawing on the essential elements identified through long-term field testing, each rod is designed for specific fishing environments and lure applications, including targeting pinpoint spots at close range, maneuvering in rivers and harbor areas, and making long casts from beaches and large rivers.

All models feature unsanded blanks, pursuing efficient performance without unnecessary elements. C.N.T. is used in the butt section to combine a sharp casting feel with powerful resilience when the rod is loaded and bent under pressure. The guides are K guides with titanium frames and SiC-S rings, with the foot heights tuned to achieve a balance that allows the line to flow smoothly during the cast. Spinning models use DPS reel seats, with carbon pipes featuring Nishijin-ori construction incorporated on select models.

The SW842S-LML and SW932S-LML prioritize mobility in bay areas and casting to pinpoint targets. The SW922S-M combines sharp, responsive power with the strength to handle strong currents and a wide range of lures. The SW972S-ML offers long-casting performance and versatility, while the SW1072S-ML is designed for both close- and long-range applications, combining long-casting performance with a soft tip that makes it easier to detect bites in the surf zone. The baitcasting SW842B-ML/M and SW932B-ML/MH combine ML-power tips with butt sections of different strengths, accommodating a wide range of lures, including plugs and big plugs, from close-range presentations to long casts.
