In shallow areas, retrieving it while allowing the lip to contact the bottom helps reduce snags while also creating an irregular bottom-knocking action. The range includes floating and slow-floating models, allowing anglers to adjust their presentation according to the difference in buoyancy—either continuing the retrieve or pausing to let the lure rise.
