Megabass Makippa

Megabass MAKIPPA is a casting blade jig designed to be fished simply by casting and retrieving. The body balance and component placement have been carefully adjusted to make it easy to impart action and maintain depth—tasks that can often be challenging with casting jigs. A blade is mounted on the tail, creating flash and attraction through its rotation during the retrieve. It also features a blade hook system that guides strikes on the blade to the hook without interfering with the blade’s rotation. Its stable swimming action minimizes body rotation, allowing you to target different depths from the surface to midwater and near the bottom.

To use it, begin retrieving immediately after the lure lands to target the surface, or let it sink to the desired depth before retrieving to fish midwater or near the bottom. An “Omakase Eye” is provided on the belly, allowing a double hook or treble hook to be added according to conditions and preference. It also supports setups specifically intended for strikes from below near the bottom. Equipped with a tinsel-dressed assist hook, MAKIPPA can be tuned to match the target depth, current, and casting distance by selecting weights such as 20 g or 30 g.
