MARUKYU’s Fish League EGILEE DARTMAX is designed to produce a darting action unlike that of conventional egi lures. By positioning the line eye high on the front section, it is easier to generate its distinctive darting action with light jerks, while the lure tends to maintain a stable posture during the fall. The line-eye position also helps reduce snagging.

The body is shaped with an exceptionally slim head section that receives the current, pursuing sharp darting action and easy handling while reducing pulling resistance. In addition, buoyancy in the rear of the body helps stabilize the lure’s posture while it is falling. The hologram head creates visual appeal through flashing, while snagless colored sinkers and custom carbon hooks designed with hooking performance in mind are also used.

The basic technique is to maintain line tension while applying light jerks to make the lure dart, then allow it to fall and pause after the retrieve action. The 2.5-size weighs 11 g and has a sink rate of 4.4 seconds per meter, the 3-size weighs 17 g and has a sink rate of 3.0 seconds per meter, and the 3.5-size weighs 19 g and has a sink rate of 2.7 seconds per meter, allowing anglers to choose the appropriate working range and sinking tempo according to size. In addition to standard body colors, the lineup includes “Hot Mura Coat,” which reacts to ultraviolet light to enhance the base color’s brilliance, and “Witch Cross,” which changes the color of the reflected light depending on the viewing angle.
