Breaden Ebi-no-sanpo

BREADEN’s Ebi no Sanpo is a sinking pencil designed to appeal through both visual stimulation and vibration. Its patented T3S (Turbine Shrimp Swing System), which replicates a shrimp’s legs and limbs, rotates when it catches the current not only during retrieve but also while falling. It features a 50 mm body, with the 50N normal type weighing 3.0 g and the 50D deep type weighing 3.4 g. Underwater, it produces an action that resembles a shrimp moving with a dog-paddling motion. Although it offers the feel of operating a plug, its shrimp-mimicking T3S continues to move automatically.

The basic technique is a slow steady retrieve, maintaining a consistent speed to create the impression of a defenseless shrimp moving through the water. After casting, it can also be used with a tension-controlled fall. The 50N is suited to searching near the surface with a focus on horizontal movement, while the 50D is suitable for vertical presentations incorporating a fall and for targeting deeper ranges. The body is designed with a stable tail-down posture and a balance that helps reduce snagging. It is compatible with BREADEN replacement hooks, and short-shank, heavy-wire replacement hooks can be used when changing the hooks.
