HALCYON SYSTEM’s Penny Suck is a minnow featuring a natural action that combines wobbling and rolling, rather than a popper or darter-style action. The series includes the MOKKA for working shallow water, the SYODAI (original model) for standard mid-water ranges, and the TUNGS10φ, which uses a tungsten weight to swim deeper. Each model is designed for use at a different depth and in different situations.

The MOKKA is a shallow runner that dives to approximately 50 cm at maximum, and is intended for use in shallow areas such as tidal flats and shallow rivers and streams. Depending on the position of the rod tip, the SYODAI swims at a depth of approximately 50–80 cm, making it suitable for fishing from high banks such as seawalls or approaching slightly deeper water. Equipped with a 10 mm tungsten weight, the TUNGS10φ is the deepest-diving and heaviest model in the series. It can target depths of approximately 1 m, making it suitable for long casts in windy conditions. While a steady retrieve that takes advantage of its action is the basic approach, anglers can select the model according to the target depth and fishing spot.
