Varivas Avani Shock Leader SMP

VARIVAS Avani Shock Leader SMP is a nylon shock leader designed for battles with large fish such as tuna, giant trevally, and yellowtail amberjack. It absorbs shock with the characteristic stretch and toughness of nylon while withstanding powerful runs and abrasion against reefs and boat edges. Through material improvements and an enhanced manufacturing process, it offers a higher elongation at break than standard nylon, helping absorb the load placed on the line system when fish charge or suddenly run at close range. It also provides abrasion resistance that helps prevent a sudden loss of strength when damaged, making it suitable for situations where abrasion is likely, such as around rocky reefs and boat hulls.

The surface features SP-V, a non-fluorinated coating that helps reduce deterioration caused by water absorption, ultraviolet rays, and salt damage, along with ND-S processing to adjust suppleness, stiffness, and hardness. In addition, NON processing helps limit strength loss caused by water absorption and is designed to minimize changes in handling caused by temperature fluctuations and aging. The line is parallel-wound to help maintain its original linearity while reducing flattening on the spool. The spool band, featuring a center hole, securely holds even thick leaders and allows tension to be adjusted during use. This nylon shock leader is designed to be connected to the end of a PE line for casting and jigging targeting large fish.
