VARIVAS Avani Saltwater Finesse PE X8 is a PE line developed to push the limits of thinness for delicate saltwater finesse fishing, primarily for single jighead ajiing. It is positioned as the flagship model in the VARIVAS line, designed to achieve an enhanced balance of thinness, strength, and durability.

It uses ultra-fine, ultra-high-density eight-strand PE. The smooth surface and water- and wind-cutting structure of the eight-braid construction help maintain casting distance even with single jigheads under 1 g, while reducing the delayed sink rate caused by line slack, which can occur when using lightweight rigs. Designed with a moderate level of stiffness, it helps reduce tangling around the rod, a common issue with thin PE lines. The surface is treated with a non-fluorine-based SP-V coating, which helps minimize water absorption and deterioration while also enhancing abrasion resistance and casting distance.

The line is finished relatively stiff at first so it can be used with rods of various actions, and its feel changes as the line breaks in through use.
