Berkley Mevart

Berkley’s Mebart is a jig head designed to produce sharp left-and-right darting action with micro-wind techniques. It features a heavy-duty 0.7 mm hook to handle rockfish and larger fish, with a hook balance designed to help maintain a stable posture when the darting action is stopped.

In addition to its original head shape, which enables left-and-right darting, the Mebart is equipped with a worm keeper that helps prevent the soft bait from slipping. The head is marked with the weight size for easy identification when changing jig heads. Rig a soft bait, create darting action with rod movements, then pause it and allow the bait to stay in a stable position to trigger bites. For the 0.4 g and 0.7 g models, recommended soft baits include 1.5–2-inch-class Baby Sardine, Sabiky, and Bubble Sardine. For the 1.0–2.6 g models, recommended baits also include Esu Fish, Slider Shad, Micro Crawler, and Bubble Leech. For the 3.5–4.8 g models, recommended baits include Sabiky, Shrug Minnow, Inch Hog, and minnows. Available weights are 0.4 g, 0.7 g, 1.0 g, 1.4 g, 2.0 g, 2.6 g, 3.5 g, and 4.8 g, with a recommended hook size specified for each model.
